Lord Stern speaks out.

The "disappointing" outcome of December's climate summit was largely down to "arrogance" on the part of rich countries, according to Lord Stern.
So says Richard Black, reporting for the BBC.
But was "arrogance" really shown by rich countries?
Perhaps Richard and Lord Stern should cast their minds back to The Stern Report, a prime example of arrogance, for surely this tome of inaccuracies and exaggerations coveys arrogance beyond anything displayed in Copenhagen last December.
The Stern Report suffers much like the IPCC's AR4, in that it was written in advocate's language rather than scientist's language and made many extreme claims which cannot now be substantiated.
This document has been highly influential in the formulation of national policy on climate change, yet on close examination has little substance in many critical areas.
And as to the failure of the Copenhagen summit in the land of fairy tales?
There are many who might benefit from looking hard into the looking glass and asking very difficult questions of the person looking back.
It was a narrow escape - we should be extremely grateful that common sense prevailed.
Hans Christian Andersen would, I believe, also be pleased with the outcome.
