Anglia defends Oxburgh's eco network ties • The Register

The University of East Anglia continues to adopt a position of arrogance in respect of its choice of chair for the scientific enquiry over the Climategate emails.
Given that the object of the exercise is to restore public confidence in the University, its staff and research, it seems incredible that UEA engender public humiliation by the way in which it is going about it.
As if the choice of Lord Muir and others for the first enquiry wasn't bad enough, they follow that with this even more unbelievable act of fallacy.
There cannot be any result from this enquiry which will be accepted by the public as long as blatant bias is permitted.
What UEA must do is set up an enquiry with a balanced team of scientists who can ask the right questions and then together debate and reach an honest and realistic set of conclusions and recommendations.
As long as nonsense is supported by UEA, they will fail to achieve any positive results.
It seems they continue to lack any understanding of public relations.
With the amount of funding they receive, that is a most unusual management style to adopt.
It says much about credibility (or rather lack of), something they desperately need to evidence.
